LaPlata got off to a fast start in the boys championship semi-final game against Brashear at the Novinger Tournament Thursday. The combination of LaPlata's hot shooting and Brashear's inability to get to the basket had LaPlata leading 18-4 after one quarter and 32-8 at halftime. Brashear did manage to get more offense going in the 2nd half, but still fell by a score of 64-27.
